Our destination today was the Maokong Gondola and Taipei Zoo since they were connected. But when we arrived at the gondola, there was a sign saying that it is closed for repair until June. When we checked on the website a few nights ago there was no such announcement. So we took a photo with the cable car outside instead.
There were a lot of kids at the zoo, including primary school field trips. Admission fee was only NT60 which is cheaper than Starbucks! There is actually a lot to see at this zoo despite the low admission fee.
I looked forward to seeing the panda exhibition most! The two pandas were called Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan which as a pair is tuan yuan meaning wholesome and together.
I've seen pandas at other zoos before but these were some of the most active pandas I've seen! They were pacing back and forth walking around so I couldn't catch a still photo. Very cute :)
In the evening we walked around Ximending to look for the Modern Toilet Restaurant but it was slightly pricey so we ate elsewhere instead. I got this really tall green tea and taro ice cream for NT15 only!
Take care,
